Having been in the industry for nearly two decades, you could be forgiven for thinking Alicia Silverstone might like a little time off for maternity leave.

But the Clueless actress took new son Bear Blu to work with her instead of relying on a host of nannies and child carers.

The 34-year-old beamed with delight as she clutched her tot and there were no minions on guard to take over at the first sign of drool. Alicia was busy filming scenes for her new movie Gods Behaving Badly, during which she stood over a doppelganger of herself.

The 'out of body experience' saw her witness the tragedy as she was attended to by a doctor and then some paramedics.

In the unusual scene, filmed in the middle of Central Park she was then carted off in an ambulance by emergency services.

Looking a little frumpier than usual, Alicia donned a beige mini skirt with a brown tank top and a clashing bright green shirt. She paired that with a pair of flat brogue laces shoes. Her naturally brunette hair had been dyed a bright auburn colour and she donned a pair of tortoise rimmed spectacles.

The entire ensemble made the attractive star seem dowdy and plain.

Alicia only recently got back to work on the ensemble cast comedy which is her first movie since giving birth to her son in May. While the cameras were rolling, the four-month-old was looked after by his daddy, Alicia's husband Christopher Jarecki.

In between takes the doting mother spent every spare second she had with her patient family.

The movie follows the story of what happens when Greek deities living in modern-day New York intervene in the lives of a young couple. It also stars acting heavyweights Christopher Walken and John Turturro, and is due to be released next year.
